Kadets(1316)

Coach: Steve Whiting - 4th season

Returning starters: 2

2024 Record: 9-14

2024 Srs playing at the next level: Frank Flores Jr. - CSU Pueblo

Players to watch: Sam Steubing (SR) 2B - committed to Concordia Univ.(NE), Wyatt Kelly (SR) P, Kenny Fourzan (JR) 3B, Zack Kelly (SO) INF

2025 Outlook: The Kadets just missed out on the playoffs a year ago and despite just 2 starters returning Air Academy hopes dropping down to 4A along with the leadership of dynamic player Sam Steubing can change their fortune in 2025. S. Steubing led the team in AVG, RBI's, 2B, HRs and SBs last season but looks to Keegan Cornelius, Ayden Honey wood, Wyatt Kelly and Zack Kelley to assist at the plate. â€‹The pitching staff returns 2 way player W. Kelly and a handful of guys with minimal varsity experience. Coach Whiting is counting on many of those inexperienced players to step up even though their will be lots of new varsity starters.

Red-Tailed Hawks(1240)

Coach: Mark Swope - 16th season

Returning starters: 7

2024 Record: 17-8

2024 Srs playing at the next level: Ace Eilmes - Wheaton College

Players to watch: Charlie Doyle (SR) RHP, Javin Eslinger (SR) RHP/SS, Nate Glad (SR) C - committed to Northeastern JCJansen Roberts (SR) 3B - committed to Crowder JC, Charlie Scofield (SR) 1B, Colton Johnson (SO) INF

2025 Outlook: The headliner is COBSBL preseason MVP 3B Jansen Roberts, who burst onto the scene last season earning honorable mention All-State honors. J. Roberts belted 4 HR's while adding 12 2B's and 2 3Bs, 18 SB's while also hitting over .500. However, this lineup is not a one man wrecking crew as he is joined by honorable mention All-State player Nate Glad, Colton Johnson and Charlie Scofield. All 3 put up big numbers in 2024 in a lineup that should be explosive again this season. The question mark will be a pitching staff that graduated their top 3 arms. Senior Charlie Doyle returns with the most experience on the bump, but besides that Coach Swope looks for younger inexperienced players, or guys with minimal varsity experience to step up. Still, even with the current unknowns, this program has been in the state tourney 5 out of the last 6 season and knows what it takes to win, so count on them being in the thick of things both in league play and come playoff-time.

Bears (1092)

Coach: Ty Baker - 4th season

Returning starters: 5

2024 Record: 11-14

2024 Srs playing at the next level: Tate Gargasz - Santa Clara University

Players to watch:  None Committed - Fletcher Sexton (SR) UTIL, Luke Vandenbussche (SR) P, Eli Arellano (SO) P/INF

2025 Outlook: After missing the playoffs in 2023 and 2022 the Bears rebounded in 2024 advancing to the 2nd round of post season play only to be eliminated by rival Lewis-Palmer. 5 starters return including several key pieces that Coach Baker hopes can help repeat the success from a year ago. Sergio Melendez, Nolan Benson and Eli Arellano showed promise as underclassmen and along with Fletcher Sexton and Luke Vandenbussche will anchor the Bear's offense. The pitching staff will team L. Vandenbussche, E. Arellano and Luke Weaver together giving Palmer Ridge 3 strong arms on the mound. With 7 underclassmen that saw varsity playing time in 2025 and incoming freshman Jameson Wheeler their are some question marks around who will step up and be an impact player this upcoming season.

Rangers (1185)

Coach: Brett Lester - 10th season

Returning starters: 6

2024 Record: 17-10

2024 Srs playing at the next level: Danny Cook - Pepperdine University, Dane Gilbert - Missouri Valley College

Players to watch: JW Babbitt (SR) RHP - committed to Regis Univ., Drew Boyarko (SR) RHP - committed to Univ. Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS)Eli Eberly (SR) C/INF, Alvin Jarrell (SR) RHP - committed to Hutchinson JC, Hunter Morgan (SR) OF - committed to Dodge City JC,  Jake Provencio (JR) RHP

2025 Outlook: Despite loosing last seasons top 2 bats to graduation Coach Lester is confident the Rangers are in a good place to defend their league title and make another playoff run. A team that will be led by pitching and defense Lewis-Palmer returns their top 5 pitchers including dominant arms Drew Boyarko and Alvin Jarrell. The two accounted for over half the teams wins, racked up 150 K's and received All-State honors a year ago. After the Rangers 2 power arms JW Babbitt and Jake Provencio will play major roles on the mound also. Both had quality 2024 seasons and should be used either out of the bullpen or making spot starts this spring. Offensively the Rangers lost some fire-power to graduation but look for D. Boyarko, A. Jarrell and Hunter Morgan to build on solid 2024 seasons. H. Morgan's bat and speed can create chaos for opponents and A. Jarrell led the team in HRs last season. â€‹On paper this is one of the more well-rounded teams in 4A with solid senior leadership, expect big things.

Lions (918)

Coach: Scott Horman - 3rd season

Returning starters: 5

2024 Record: 13-12-1

2024 Srs playing at the next level: Asher Clark - Sacramento State Univ. , Eli Morgan - Azusa Pacific Univ.

Players to watch: Payden Joyce (SR) LHP - committed to College of St. ScholasticaRyan McDougal (SR) RHP/OF - committed to Benedictine CollegeJack Poe (SR) RHP - committed to York Univ.Ian Stephanich (SR) RHP - committed to Ohlone CollegeJack Wesolowski (SR) OF, Cade Peterson (JR) RHP

2025 Outlook: Coach Horman knows the margin for error is slim in the Pikes Peak league and every game has an impact on both league champ and the playoff race. The Lions will feature a lot of new faces in 2025 as 11 seniors have moved on and just 5 starters remain. The offense will be led by Ryan McDougal and Jack Wesolowski who both hit over .300 with 4 HRs between them last season. However, a team that hit 18 HR's a year ago needs offensive production from less experienced players also. The pitching staff graduated their top 5 arms and look to Ian Stephanich, Cade Peterson and Jack Poe to fill the void left behind. All 3 logged varsity innings in 2025 but will take on bigger roles this season. This years season will weigh heavily on their success on the mound and how the batting lineup shakes out.

Thunder (1072)

Coach: Justin Ross - 7th season

Returning starters: 7

2024 Record: 13-10

2024 Srs playing at the next level: Ty Peters - Cypress College

Players to watch: , Nate Singleton (SR) 3B, Andrew Torres (SR) RHP - committed to Hutchinson JCJake Cody (JR) RF, Jaxon Ross (JR) CF, Hugh Tarpenning (JR) RHP, Cole Teltschik (JR) C - committed to SW Missouri State Univ.

2025 Outlook: Discovery Canyon has turned into a consistent playoff squad making the postseason the last 4 seasons. With 7 juniors returning with 2 years of varsity baseball under their belts expect the Thunder to continue that trend. An experienced and explosive batting lineup that includes All-American Cole Teltschik, speedy Jaxon Ross and talented middle of the order Nate Singleton, Jake Cody and Hugh Tarpenning they will present challenges for most opposing pitchers. Even with H. Tarpenning returning on the mound, 29 IP and 4 wins, pitching will still be unproven. Keep an eye on Ryan Egan, Pierce Hafferkamp, N. Singleton, Andrew Torres and other less experienced players to prove themselves on the mound this season.
